More camp pictures
I'm almost at a loss for posting all these pictures. Click here to see Ruth's awesome slideshow and Rachel's post about camp. I couldn't have said it better myself:
How does a person sum up a week of ol' time revival meetings, dozens of youth ages 4 - 18, colorful dramas, meaningful lessons, enthusiastic games, and priceless moments with friends?
By pictures of course!

Where does one start?
Oh, so many pictures. More than a 1000. I have no restraint, I know. I had such a fun time at camp. It was a different year though. No campfire because it rained too much (but not so much, we couldn't play outdoor games-- Praise the Lord!!!). And the fact that there was a couple of missing counselors. But as a special surprise, Abi, Joisah and Thomas showed up!! (The one time I didn't bring my camera into the dining hall) Another out of the ordinary thing was, no mosquitoes as big as your shoe! (Too chilly for them, they must still be in Florida)

SkitsWell, I need to go to bed. I just thought I should post something tonight. We are picking up Grandpa and grandma at the airport in Bismarck tomorrow. So I don't know when I'll blog next. I have so many pictures to show and so many things to tell. And with family, I'll just have more and more pictures to blog. It might be quite awhile until I've caught up. But that's okay, I've got lots of rhubarb crisp to keep me company.

A quick note
to say I'm back. Sorry I didn't tell you I was leaving! I got my flash on the 7th (Saturday). I was kind of in la-la land after the UPS came. ;) Then we went to camp, amd I stayed overnight in the dorm with the older Wissmann girls. I had so much fun at camp!! I'll tell you about it later. After I load the 1000+ pictures that I took. Oh and pray for Bethany. Her camera broke the last day of camp. :(

It''s coming!
I have been thinking, and thinking. Thinking about buying an attachable flash (SB 600) for my camera. Well, I ordered it tonight off of B&H photo and hopefully it will come before camp. Mom and I are going to Bismarck on Tuesday (and hopefully my camera lens can get fixed!!) I was thinking about buying a flash when we were at BestBuy but I looked it up and it was about forty dollars cheaper at B&H. (Praise the Lord for the internet! :)
And, I did post some more pictures onto the PBC blog.

The best remedy
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.

It's lookin' good!
We had camp cleanup this past weekend. Lots of fun, lots of work. It's all coming together though. I think it is pretty much all done, last I heard, the trimming was still left, but that can be fixed. :) Now, we just have to pray for good weather during camp (although I do hope it rains again before then!). I'll post more pictures on the PBC blog...

There were lots of flowers to plant!

Paul

Happy birthday!! I love seeing the way you interact with Teagan and Trenton. You are so amazing with kids. (Which is probably why you coach :) I'm sure you'll call this another 'illegal' picture, but I'll post it anyway. Whether you know it or not, you really encourage me in my spiritual walk with the Lord. Thank you for all the fun times, whether it was cleaning, drinking homemade root beer or just talking. You are one of the people I admire the most. Happy birthday, and I hope you have a fun day!

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Birthday(s)
We had quite the celebration yesterday. Susan and Robert and Paul came over to celebrate. And Gabe and Shanon and cuties Trenton and Teagan. And Nathaniel and Alyse and sweet Elisabeth. And Florence. Now if you'll excuse me while I take pictures of the cutest kids...

Who do we trust?
Trust in yourself and you are doomed to disappointment;....but trust in God, and you are never to be confounded in time or eternity.
Dwight L. Moody
Are you facing fear today? Perhaps you are afraid of losing your job, of developing cancer or being left by your spouse. At times all of us experience fear. But don't allow fear to keep you from being used by God. He has kept you thus far; trust Him for the rest of the way.

A late Mother's Day
I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.
~Abraham Lincoln
`

Where would I be without my mother? I often wonder this. Where would I be without her prayers? Where would I be without her constant love for me? I don't know where I would be, but I'm very glad for what she gave me: a life, and a wonderful one at that.
Happy Mother's Day mom!! I love you!

[insert creative title here]
Well, I'm back home. Back to having the rolling plains in my backyard instead of HWAC (where my studio is).
I'll try to update this more often. Now that I have time to eat and sleep. What a wonderful concept it is to be able to get more than four hours of sleep on average per night. Not much going on this summer. Prairie Bible Camp in June. Friday is a supper that I am going to with my mom (I think we are helping with the food). On Saturday, I am babysitting Sarah and then going to a play that one of my mom's friends is in (in a hayloft-- that should be a bunch of fun :). And Sunday is Mother's Day. Otherwise, not a lot going on. Wait, I lied. I helped Cindy with some school pictures on Tuesday (mom and I got back on Monday). She asked if I would be willing to help her with weddings, to which I heartily agreed! :) I might help a lady in the area clean her house. Otherwise, just doing housework, catching up on sleep, doing artsy projects, entering photographgy contests and remembering how to play piano again. :)

Wow
It has been a really long time since I have written a post. Time is just flying by. School is almost over. Only six more school days left. As of right now, there is only seven days, 23 hours, 58 minutes, and 26 seconds left until everything is turned in and I can leave. Which is good because my computer is about to crash. Half of the screen is completely black and therefore completely unusable.
I can hardly wait to go home. Mom, and I think Paul, will be driving down. (Which means I have to do some serious packing!!!) It has been really nice here though-- 70s. Other people are even wearing skirts. :) Well, I should get back to homework. I have to write up my old testament study guide and my drawing study guide. And do my history homework, maybe start on my history final paper and put the finish on my box tonight. And then there's design. But it'll be all over soon! =D And it's one month until my birthday. :)
45 days until Prairie Bible Camp! Speaking of which, I made a blog for showing someone pictures of the camp. Some are Bethany's pictures and some are mine. http://prairiebiblecamp.blogspot.com/

At random
Joy's friend [me] is so weird!
Why do you say that?
She takes her camera with her everywhere!!
Well, she's a photographer.
Oh. That explains it.

There has been less homework lately. Thus I have been getting to bed early. =)
I found three big leaves by the river yesterday.
I will find out for sure what my classes will be tomorrow for next year.
In four weeks and one day I will be done with all schoolwork and ready to go home!! =)
Mom will be happy that I finally updated. :)
I am excited for Prairie Bible camp.
I should now start my Bible paper and drawing assignment.
I will probably procrastinate some more.
Um...
I am wearing a skirt.
I am not wearing shoes.
Or socks.
I do not have blue hair (okay, now I really am procrastinating :).
I hope this post gets lots of comments.
