WHEW!

I thought for sure that since blogger wasn't letting me log in, my blog here had thought it did fine on it's own and would just kick me out of it's life. Good to know it still needs me.

 I plan to blog with lots of pictures soon, maybe even update ALL of my blogs! But for now, I have to finish cleaning my room. I won't be living out of a suitcase for the whole summer! I actually have hangers and drawers for my clothes now because I have a rather ginormous pile for goodwill.

Blog Title

I changed my blog title (including the banner graphic being redesigned). I am reading through a book, called Stronger Than You Think, by Kim Gaines Eckert. It is all about being whole without having to be perfect. It is making me realize that each of us is broken, yet we are each still a complete person.

Blogger in Draft

So I decided to use blogger in draft again. Just to see what was in the works. Amazing! You can add pages, so it is more like a website than just a blog. For this blog I just added contact info and about me tabs. But at my photoBlog I added quotes and links as well. Such fun! SO check it out if you want! And I urge all you bloggers out there to try Blogger in Draft as well!

2 years

It's been two years since my first post in the blogging world. Thus, a new post. Now, I know that there are many who don't comment. So could you please leave a comment. It doesn't really hurt. Just click on the witty remarks button, write a message, and sign your name (and click anonymous, etc.). It isn't brain surgery I promise. And since this is my 2nd blogiversary, I would like to know where ya'll are from. And if you aren't comfortable sharing that info, could you share an intereresting fact about yourself, where your blog is, how many socks you own, or all of the above? :)

Pictures.

262 to be exact. One doesn't realize how hard (and easy!) it is to take them. But then come the responsibilities. Finding the cord. Connecting it to the computer and camera. Praying that the 6-yr old computer recognizes the camera. Uploading the pictures. Figuring out which ones are already on the computer. Coming up with an excellent title for the folder (i.e. 'Thanksgiving 07'). Downloading the rest (I'm not sure what the difference between uploading and downloading is... :-/ :) Getting the pictures to all go the right way. Narrowing the selection. And then, and ONLY then can one start on the post. Oh the woes of a blogger! Now for a peek into what the Pauley side of the family does during the holidays, in no particular order...

My 'Blog-iversary'

Has it really been a year?!! It doesn't seem possible, but I guess it is.

I didn't intend to get sucked into the blogging world. I didn't intend to become obsessed with posting regularly. I never thought that I'd find so many blogger friends. In fact, I actually got to meet a blogger. And eventually turned a friend into a blogger (who hasn't been faithful in posting lately). But I'm sure glad it happened! It all began with reading the Wissmann's and Bethany's blogs. And then, well,... I think you know. I eventually became obsessed! Thank you to all those who faithfully comment. It truly makes blogging worthwhile and I know that people actually read what I write! So, I encourage you most thoroughly to comment on this post. PLEASE don't be a lurker (aka a person who makes blogging more difficult by not giving their input)!!! After one year of service, don't you think that I deserve some comments?! ;)

Also... are there things you'd like to see more/less? Do I bore you? How did you come to start reading blogs? Or start a blog? What is your favorite subject(s) to read about on someone else's blog? What have you learned from my blogging? How did you find my blog?

Hooray!!!!!!!!!

You may have noticed that I have a really cool awesome, swawesome, fantabulous header. Well, it is definitely NOT of my doing, but of the fast 'blog header person,' Ryan!!! Thank you so so so so much, Ryan!!!! The picture is from the Grand Canyon. I think the font on the header is just beautiful, don't you?!!! I LOVE IT!!! And now no one is in suspense, right Rachel?! Well, I have to go to bed, so I can actually get up in the morning for class! Sayonara! Adios! Goodbye!

Header

I'm in a little of a transition right now. I'm trying to change the header to be one of my pictures. So far so good, but the words "AIMING for perfection" looks a little funky. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong. I guess this just proves that we can AIM for perfection, but we can't BE perfect!!! :) Oh, by the way, Bryant, thanks for helping me out! I just changed it again, it looks a little better. What do you think of the picture?

High-speed, name for blog

For Christmas, we got high-speed internet!!! Yippee!!!!! It is so much easier to blog! :-)

Can anyone think of a different title name for my blog -- Megan's Blog isn't very exciting. I was thinking about taking something from Scripture, but I am not sure what. I was thinking about "Aiming for perfection" taken from II Corinthians 13:11.
