Bethany the Bride

I am so glad that I had the privilege of seeing Bethany's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. As many of you may know, I don't cry very easily, but I had tears in my eyes at the ceremony. The whole wedding was so refreshing--totally focused on God. It was simple, but so very beautiful. Thank you, Bethany, for allowing other people to see the beauty of your relationship with Dan. And for leading a beautiful and glorious life, both in your single life and in your courting days and now into married life! I pray it will be a grand adventure!

The big 2-0

It was 20 years ago today that it was raining in Iowa. A couple was waiting to get married, and a tad worried about the weather since it was an outdoor wedding. However, they prayed and before the wedding started, the rain cleared up, people wiped the water off the chairs and they lived happily ever after! Well, not exactly. It has been two decades since that rainy May day and that couple has raised three children (one who is going to Illinois for college this fall!!!!). Happy 20th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!!! I love both of you so much!!
