To-do list

I glanced at my to-do list on my bedroom door and found that someone had tampered with it. Hm, I wonder who that could be telling me to do Andrew's chores.......

Finals are next week. The weather outside is gorgeous. I so wish that I could be outside more and enjoy it. For Mouw's class we have been shooting "48 hours at Judson," so I have my camera with me practically 24-7. I should always do that. I have more pictures than I know what to do with and my friends now consider me paparazzi, but I guess I should get used to that. :) I know how to flip someone over my back now, thanks to my self-defense class.

Next week we are doing refreshers and a bunch of scenarios. Kind of excited, but a twinge of scared-ness as well. :) In the picture I am throwing down the instructor. So, bottom line, don't mess with me ;-) So finals....my photo 2 final is on Monday and i am kind of freaking out about it because I still need to shoot people and make it into a book. AHHHH!!!!! I think I shall take a nap and re-evaluate :)

Life Lessons from a stuffed creature

This little guy is my favorite...thing-that-makes-me-smile right now. His name is Domo. As evidence by his nametag. I gave him to my roomie. Isn't he just precious? I think his surrounding is perfect with his facial expression. Completely surrounded by homework and countless other things. Surrounded by chaos. Life is chaos. But we still need to have a smile amidst it all. I think Domo is still working on that whole smile thing. But he gives me a smile every time I see him.

So, thank you, Domo. Thank you for being who you are.

Thank you for reminding me to smile.

Randomosity

....the high in Lehr for Monday is now -2. Yes, the high is below zero. Oh how I miss ND. :-) And on Monday at my grandpa's house the high will be 83. How is this fair? Despite these temperatures, I am stoked for my arrival in the small Bismarck airport! My mom will be the one picking me up!! (she took the day off work :) So maybe we can go shopping....... ;-)

Christmas break starts tonight, but it really started last night. Last night I got to bed a little after 1. Wow! That was amazing. I really haven't slept at NIGHT this week, so it's a

new concept that needs to be re-introduced to me. I started liking coffee. I'm kind of sad that I have conformed to the ways of this world.So, over Christmas Break, I will be at my grandpa's house for two weeks!!! :-) First, we will go to the wedding in Nebraska though!!!! :-) Super excited about that! =)

I just finished packing. Wow, that was difficult. I thought about packing two suitcases. (I am a girl needing clothes for a whole month after all. ) But no. United Airlines would then like to charge me an extra 20 dollars for that. They aren't getting my money! Ha!! It took a lot of work. The cliche' sitting on the suitcase? Yeah, that was me. For my carry-on, I'm bringing my queen size blanket I am crocheting, my beautiful mac, and my camera bag. Maybe I'll take a picture.

Sorry its been so long since I last posted!! I've been enjoying using all my apple purchases. :-) Quite lovely. Enjoying classes (except for one...I tend to zone out when listening to Professor Naw). I'm really stoked for Exploring Creativity. Its going to be amazing!! Our current project is making an alligator out of paper and string. Those are our only guidelines. I'll try to post a picture when I'm done with it. I'm going to use silly string.....

Oh dear.

I have been a horrible blogger. I'm sorry. Life has been full as of late. Work has been busy and when i do have a break, I generally take a nap. I work until ten at night some nights. And as soon as David shows up, we go for a walk. :) Thus, no blogging time. I'm sorry. This poor blog. I'm surprised it doesn't just take its URL and leave. "Good riddance Megan! I've had enoguh of you!" But its still here.

Well, I'm really excited. I get to go home in two weeks to see family. :D I love North Dakota, and I miss it so much. Can hardly wait. Then two weeks at home (one of which David will be there :). And school starts. I'm kind of excited (always am for like the first...month lol). The classes I'm taking are Man and Woman (upper English Lit class. I get to read Little Women!), Exploring Creativity, Video Production, History of Civilization 2, and [drum roll please] Personal Fitness Training. Yes, I'll actually be exercising. I'm doomed. Oh, and I'm going to start working (hopefully off campus at Dunkin' Donuts), seeing as I only have 13 credits. No studios, granted video production will take lab time.

(I just had to. We've taken pictures of us like three times since we've known each other lol. We really need to use the self timer more often.)

Oh, David has a partner with his teens. And she claims that she is his wife. So I have to fight off another woman!! lol Oh, I've really gotten attached to one of David's teens. She and I really hit it off last week, it's awesome. :)

Yes, a post.

So...I've been thinking for some time that I should blog. But I figure that if The Simple Life has activity once again, that's my cue to login to blogger once again. Not alot happening lately. Its pretty quiet on campus. I know of four other girls in my dorm; and there is generally three other students in the cafeteria when I eat there. But I kind of really like it. :) Towards the end of the school year, I tend to just get sick of people. 

I miss the prairie. The beautiful, never ending prairie. Sad fact is that it does end. And replaced by concrete. Boring, disgustingly gray concrete. And this boring disgustingly gray concrete gets even worse when it is road construction season. 

However, despite the lack of prairie, I have been uber happy today. You see I'm planning this awesome surprise for one of my friends. So that randomly gets me to smile. Alot. Oh, David tends to make me smile too. :)

In other news, my mum is coming here this weekend! I get to see her Friday. So we'll get to hang out. :) Saturday night is Jessie's graduation party. Then my birthday is Sunday. We'll go to my church -- it's just David and me singing. I'll move into Riverwoods on Monday night. I'll have my computer because I'm the media/logistics person. So I might be able to update ya'll. Probably just on the weekends though. Well until then...

A quick note

to say I'm back. Sorry I didn't tell you I was leaving! I got my flash on the 7th (Saturday). I was kind of in la-la land after the UPS came. ;) Then we went to camp, amd I stayed overnight in the dorm with the older Wissmann girls. I had so much fun at camp!! I'll tell you about it later. After I load the 1000+ pictures that I took. Oh and pray for Bethany. Her camera broke the last day of camp. :(

This and that

I was already logged on so I thought I might as well post. And since I didn't have a post majorly thought about, I thought I would post a random picture.
We came back from Fargo last night. It was so much fun! Trisha and I tried on a zillion clothes (a tish of exaggeration there :). But I didn't get any-- I've gotten too cheap lately! :D Well, that's pretty much it..I'm off to curl my hair with socks... and go to bed. :D

Okay, this calls for a post! I'm all done with tests, papers.. all done with school for the year! YIPPEE!!! I don't know if I passed anything..., I'll find out later. Right now I am SOOoooo happy!!! HORRAY!!! And today I get to go to FARGO!!! I am so so so excited!!!! Now for some sad news (but happy at the same time!)... we sold our last puppy! Ssadly, that means no more puppy pictures! :'( But I still have my kitty, so I am still HAPPY!!! All done wit school! YEAH!!

I am done with two papers and one test! I think. I'm not sure right now, too tired! Oh, wait it was two papers and two tests! My goldfish brain! ...Do you think it would work if I asked the professors to excuse a goldfish from the rest of her finals?! :D

It's really nice outside, so I hate to complain, but... NOPE! Not gonna complain! Gotta remember Philippians 2:14 "Do everything without complaining or arguing." That's a really HARD verse to remember. It is so so so easy to complain and grumble and argue! [sigh] So, I will end this post positively...

A Random Post

Yeah! I am so excited! Our computer was not letting me post things, and I was going crazy (well, crazier than I already am! :) !! When it is working today! I am so excited! (It is so easy to take things for granted!) Okay... this weekend I saw the lunar eclipse! Did anyone else see it?! It was so cool! I really hope my pictures turn out! I used a tripod, so they should be okay (I think). I'll post pictures when I get them developed!! Speaking of pictures, I will finally be able to post pictures of the puppies again!!! (Sometime this week.) Sorry that I haven't done that in a while, but I didn't go home last weekend and before that I kept forgetting my digital camera!! :(

My mom is coming back from Texas today, so I have been furiously cleaning (this is my break). I even cleaned out the fridge!!! (Now that's dedication! :)) I made homemade chocolate chip cookies and put some mint-chocolate chip-things in them!! They are so good, but they don't last nearly long enough!!! :D

I got Seven Brides for Seven Brothers this weekend!!! :D I absolutely love that movie!!! The best in the world! Okay, I am done rambling now! :)

1. FIRST NAME? Megan (Talk about giving my brain a workout! :)

2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? My middle name is Margaret (after my grandma and my mom just liked the name Megan and I a pretty sure that there are some other people with the same last name...for example, half the community of Lehr :)

3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? Nope! Unless I am typing. (Praise the Lord for the backspace key!! :)

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? Unspoiled.

5. KIDS? Are so cute and funny!

6. WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? I am not sure. Sometimes I annoy myself! I hope I would, but I guess I will never know!

7. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? Nope! I am terrible at writing in journals. The closest I come to writing in a journal is my blog, which I love! Kind of weird. Maybe it is because I can post pictures.

8. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? No! Of course not! (Just ask my mom, friends, or anyone that's met me! :)))

9. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS? Yup! Unless someone took them out in my sleep! (Which would probably be very hard! :)

16. RED OR PINK? Pink, don't know why. But if you get to know me, you learn to not to question me, you learn that I have absolutely no reason behind my answers! :D

I am about the weakest person on the planet!, I am always way to sarcastic, too silly for my own good, I type terribly, I procrastinate a lot, and a zillion other things. Really, it is exactly a zillion. I counted every single one! I just didn't want to bore you. Wait is that sarcasm?! I really need to work on that! But the one thing that I wish I could change the most, would definitely to not be so shy, so I could be able to witness to people. (I really need to work on this.)

19. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? I am wearing jeans, but hopefully I will be able to wear skirts soon (weather, get warmer, please!).

28. HAIR COLOR? Yes. As matter of fact, it is brown, was a blonde when I was little, so, unfortunately, I still have blonde roots! LOL!!! A couple months ago my friend dyed my hair red for me (don't worry, I gave her my permission! :)

29. EYE COLOR? Yes, I do have an eye color. Blue. Right, Trisha!? :D

30. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? No way! I tried them and I always had trouble putting them in-- I lost one and I had to have one of my friends put in the other one, because I couldn't figure out how to do it!! :D Never ever again!

31. FAVORITE FOOD? My mom's homemade food!! And anything chocolate. Or cheesecake! There's that freshman 100! :)

32. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? My favorite "scary" movie is "Arsenic and Old Lace." It is with Cary Grant in the '40s. Okay, it isn't really scary, more of a comedy! I can hardly wait for the happy ending-- Christ's Second Coming!

33. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? Orange, flowery, kind of '70s-ish (I love bargain shopping!! :))

34. HUGS OR KISSES? If you are talking chocolate, both! Probably hugs though. Otherwise, it depends who I am getting them from! For example, I would probably want a hug from a horse rather than a kiss!! :D

35. WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING? Let's see... 38. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT? Ummm... I like photography. I don't know if it is a talent, but I like it! Wait, I've got it!!! It is either sarcasm or procrastination! Which do you think is a better one to have?

39. WHEN AND WHERE WERE YOU BORN? May 24, 1988 in the Ashley Hospital. I am sure you have heard of it! :) I was actually supposed to be born in the beginning of May, so when I was born I was quite troublesome! Actually, my grandma caught me not breathing, once! My guardian angel, now in heaven.
